Drop Parties

Occasionally, players host drop parties. A drop party is where a player or group of players drop items they would otherwise keep, thus allowing nearby players to pick up their dropped belongings. Parties are sometimes advertised on forums so that more people attend. However, sometimes More players will host fake drop parties where the activity is not mutually beneficial. To remedy this, Jagex installed a party room in which all items are in plain sight beforehand.
