In-game Slang and Terminology

RuneScape players have their own language which can be incomprehensible to outsiders and hard for newcomers to learn. This consists for the most part of the proliferation of ingame terminology and the abbreviation of commonly used words, such as "b axe" for 'battle axe', "pk" for 'player killing', "nats" for 'nature runes', "scimmy" or "skimmy" for 'scimitar', "hally" for 'halberd' and "phat" for 'party hat'. This list is not exhaustive. This allows for easy communication between established players despite the little space available in the ingame messaging system.
